Using Socialight Text (SMS/MMS/EMAIL)

Check Your Settings
First up, check your settings Mobile Delivery Preferences
Make sure the following is correct:
- Correct phone number (the one you will use for Socialight text messaging)
- Correct mobile carrier / operator
- Correct country set
- Choose if you want to receive notifications about stuff from your contacts and channels or from everyone.
Set your Location!
Tell us where you are by sending us a text message with your address (city, state, zip/postal code) to m@socialight.com.
If your phone will not let you send an SMS to an e-mail address, then create an e-mail or MMS message instead.
Your message should look something like this:
@22 broadway, ny
@[your address / zipcode / city, state]
You can put as much information in as you want. If we don’t understand we’ll tell you.
Notifications
Once we know your location, we'll notify you about Sticky Notes nearby for the next 2 hours. Near the end of the 2 hours, we'll ask you whether you want to continue receiving notifications.
Reply with the word STAY to continue, or just ignore the message to stop.
Stop notifications
Send us a message with the word STOP and we'll stop sending you notifications.
Create a Sticky Note
Send us the text of the message you want to leave (and the location, if you haven't already told us). For example:
Awesome place!@22 main rd, columbus, oh
[sticky text]@[your address / zipcode / city, state]
If you have already told us where you are, you could just send us:
Awesome place!
If there is a photo in the message, we'll automatically include it in your Sticky Note!
Looking for something?
To search near your location, send us a question mark, followed by the thing you are looking for.

If we know where you are, you could just send us:

This would search for everything around you.

Would search for hotels around you
